Yes, Dr Khullar performs all the injection procedures under the guidance of an Ultrasound scan. The Ultrasound scan, he uses is accredited with the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). This helps the patients to get higher rebates for injection procedures under the Medicare rules.
-
Dr Khullar performs these injections in a clean environment in his clinic procedure room under Local anesthetic.
-
Dr Khullar prefers not to do the injection procedure on the same day as your first consultation. This is meant to give you enough time to think and make an informed decision about the procedure and also to give you an opportunity to ask questions related to the procedure before signing the consent. He will give you full information about the procedure and will discuss pros and cons of the procedure. Information sheets about the procedure will be given to you. Your appointment for the procedure will then be booked for a separate date.
-
Injection procedures done in the clinic are very safe, and are done in outpatient clinic settings. However, for your safety we recommend that you should be accompanied by an adult who can drive you back home. This advice can change to an absolute requirement for an accompanying person depending upon the procedure.
-
Every injection procedure is different. Sometimes there can be temporary increase in pain for 24-48 hrs post-procedure. The time frames and post injection advice will be discussed with you at the time of the consultation.

Please read about different injection procedures in the Patient Information section.
